He has a passive and introverted personality. When he ran away from home before, he was picked up by Saimon and started working at the bar. Just like that, he becomes a freeloader who works as a hall staff. Constantly nervous and have absolutely no self-confidence but, he excels at being able to recall any song just by listening to it once - his hidden talent.

Appearance

Shiki is a timid, shy young man with fair skin and dark blue eyes. As he is a student, he keeps his brown hair swept to the right and styles it fairly neat. His attire is relatively simple; his school uniform seems to consist of a white collared shirt with a red bolo tie, a baggy blue padded blazer with gold buttons, and cream and orange plaid pants that are cuffed at the ankles. Shiki also wears dark grey socks with blue derby shoes and a silver rosary decorated with a large cross and emerald beads.

On Paralive's 1st anniversary, Shiki received new clothes while still retaining his rosary and shoes. His new clothes consist of a white, band collared button up shirt under a beige sweater with white stripes, and a navy blue long-sleeved blazer with thin white windowpane stripes cuffed to show a thick band of orange inner lining. He also wears light brown shorts and white socks with two orange stripes.

Personality

Shiki is a shy and gloomy student with negative thinking despite his incredible singing skill. Because of his negative thinking, he often holds himself back as he never thought he would be great like Naoakira or Yohei. He's also easily scared towards strangers. Despite this, Shiki is a kind person who worries more about others than himself. It is shown he didn't want everyone to know about his trauma.

Relationships

Ryu Natsume: Shiki met Ryu after he was found by Naoakira. Despite Ryu's antics toward Shiki, he still considers Ryu as his friend.
Nayuta Yatonokami: (The text below contains spoilers from the "LOVE" voice drama and discusses sensitive subjects. Please read with discretion.)
The two were once close friends, having met two years before the main story. One day, when Nayuta attempted to commit suicide in front of Shiki, Shiki was so shocked he was unable to stop Nayuta and ran away once he jumped from the rooftop. He feels immensely guilty for not helping Nayuta and thought that he "murdered" him. He is relieved that Nayuta survived, but is hurt when Nayuta seems to not have remembered him after the fall and now acts cold and harsh towards him.

Satsuki Ito: At first, Shiki was afraid towards Satsuki due to his rude attitude. However, Satsuki has never intended to scare him, and he easily apologized Shiki. He was later concern about Shiki's trauma when he doesn't want to go up to the rooftop.
Reo Maruyama: Unlike Satsuki, Reo easily befriended Shiki despite their opposite personality traits. He would later become concerned about his trauma after Shiki became mentally unstable at the rooftop.

Phantometal

Shiki’s phantometal accessory is the Rosary of Repentance (懺悔のロザリオ)^[1]. It is made of bead chain with some blue beads spaced throughout. The loop of the rosary joins into the centerpiece which has a starburst shape, and at the other end is a singular chain with a fleur-de-lis cross. He activates it by kissing it.

Etymology

The name Shiki means "four seasons" (四季).
Shiki's surname Ando means "dark/darkness, opaque, illegal, shady" (闇) (an) and "hall" (堂) (do).

Trivia

Shiki's Twitter account follows the official Paradox Live Twitter as well as most of the other characters' Twitter accounts, except for Cozmez initially. Shiki followed the Cozmez twin brothers on Twitter after the LIVE drama track released.
