Profile

He leads a double life as a linguistic professor by day and a bar owner by night. He's always calm and collected. He treats everyone kindly without discrimination and can't abandon anyone who is in trouble. He harbors a deep attachment for the bar he's managing currently.

Appearance

Naoakira is a tall, buff-built male with light skin. He keeps his black hair slicked back with two strands lose on the front. He has a pair of golden eyes and keeps a beard that is trimmed neatly. To complement his golden eyes, he wears black-rimmed spectacles with gold handles.

As for attire, Naoakira opts for a very dandy style with a black shirt, gray vest, and a matching suit black in color with grey stripes. He also wears a white and blue tie with a tie bar. On the left side of his suit, he wears a fleur de lis brooch and a blue handkerchief tucked in the pocket. For footwear, Naoakira wears a pair of black and blue leather dress shoes. To complete his dandy attire, he also accessorizes with a gold diamond-encrusted watch, several rings, and a light grey fedora hat. He wears his silver wedding ring on his left hand.

In his Exhibition Show outfit, Naoakira wears a black long-sleeved button-up shirt, a light purple tie, and a purple suit jacket with a floral pattern and black lapels. He has a black leather glove on his right hand and a blue scarf draped over his shoulders. He wears black pants, a black and gold belt, and black dress shoes with blue ribbed socks.

Naoakira is a gentle, calm, and kind-hearted gentleman who cares a lot about his companions.

This is a "fragment of memory" deep within their hearts

This is an elegy for those days that will never come back.

- These tears that I thought had long dried up, would spill over again whenever I let my guard down even just for a second, against my own will.

I spent my days dissolving this melancholy that comes and goes just like the waves into a cup of whiskey and drinking it away.

I always wondered. What should I have done back then?

Was fulfilling her wish truly the right thing to do?

But then again, those days when we spent by calling each other's names, pressed our lips* and laughed together, will never come back.

On the sepia-colored surface of it**, a layer of phantom from those days was formed.

As if I was trying to shatter every bit of it, I gulped everything down.

And at the bottom of the emptied glass, only my worn out reflection stared back at me.

Naoakira’s phantometal accessory is the Classical Glasses (クラシカルグラス)^[2]. It has rectangular frames, thick black rims, and golden accents on the bridge and temples. He activates it by biting the temple.

Etymology

The name Naoakira means "straight, direct" (直) (nao) and "bright, light, clear" (明) (akira).
Naoakira's surname Saimon means "west gate" (西門).

Trivia

Naoakira was once part of a group called Quadra-X, along with Yohei and his wife Tsubaki before she passed away. The group was apparently successful enough to have been invited to perform overseas, but they are now disbanded. ^{^[8]}
