Profile

A rationalist who doesn't express emotions. He was once a test subject for Phantometal experiments. During the trials, he gained an ability called "Shutter Eye". Due to this ability, he is unable to forget sad memories. He contains these emotions as a defense mechanism. With his sharp memory, he's the type to hold grudges.

Appearance

Itsuki has short black hair with light grey strands in the fringe and bright yellow eyes. He wears a light grey band-collared shirt and a long white blazer with diamond buttons and a barcode-like pattern on the right-hand sleeve. He has white pants with a split below the mid-calf on the front of the pant legs. His pants are held up by a black belt that says "Install" near the yellow minimalist-style buckle, with the excess hanging down to his thigh. He also wears black laceless shoes with a white sole and yellow accents.

Itsuki has several tattoos, including his phantometal, the Geometric Square Tattoo, on the back of his right hand. He has tattoos around both wrists, a zigzag pattern on the right and a double helix pattern on the left. He also has a tattoo in black ink around his neck, a band of chevrons pointing to a geometric square pattern in the center of his throat. Itsuki also has multiple accessories: A ring on his right middle finger, an earring on his right ear, and wire frame lenseless glasses with a chain

According to hou, 1Nm8's character designer, there are black screen embroideries and other accessories on Itsuki's coat. The tattoo on his right hand goes up to his arm, and there are numbers tattooed on his neck. These elements are not visible in the default character art.

I was nothing but a mere existence known only as 「No.5」.

- In a sterile room, which the smell of disinfectant had permeated into every side of it.

I could sense it. I could feel that those who had also been given numbers were growing weaker with each passing day.

As if bound by the very same unavoidable fate, this body of mine, too, will probably ended up the same as them, right..?

Though a part of me wished for it all to end with this 「No.5」, deep down, another part of me still longed for someone, anyone.

Unable to forgive myself for being that way, only loneliness continued to corrode my heart.

Etymology

• The name Itsuki is written in katakana (イツキ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (樹), it could possibly mean "tree".
  • Additionally, his name contains "itsu", which is one reading for the kanji "five" (五)

Trivia

• While Kei helps with cooking, Itsuki does all the household chores and his favorite item is baking soda due to its usefulness.
• Itsuki loves to read, particularly practical books that contain useful information for everyday life. He also read technical books like music theory and novels, which serves as references to understand the flow and how to phrase lyrics, as well to learn expressions he doesn't already have.
