Profile
A young man with a mysterious atmosphere. He had to experience a lonely childhood because his father was in prison. When he was living on the street, cats started piling up around him, so he became fond of cats. After a certain turmoil, he was picked up by Iori and joined AKYR. Hokusai is often misunderstood, but he has a very gentle and kind-hearted personality.
Appearance
Hokusai is a pale-skinned slender male with light green messy hair and eyes of the same color. He wears a black turtleneck top and a white hooded jacket with neon green stripes on top. The jacket is cuffed at his upper arms and shows his tattooed left arm. He also wears a pair of black pants with red stripes and a black and neon green sneakers.
Hokusai wears fingerless gloves with a gold tiger and several rings. He also wears a gold diamond triple finger ring on his right hand. To complete his accessories, he wears two chain necklaces and one large gold necklace.
In his Exhibition Show outfit, Hokusai wears light green coveralls with deep orange accents. The top half is unzipped and goes off his left shoulder, revealing his tattoo and a black sleeveless turtleneck. There is a belt at his waist with a safety buckle that connects to a yellow strap with black and orange squares that goes over his right shoulder. He has black and green sneakers. A pair of black and green over-ear headphones rests around his neck.
Personality
Hokusai is a quiet yet compassionate individual. He cares for the people around him, often praising them or expressing concern for them when they are troubled. He also has a great fondness for animals, especially cats. This fondness stems from his past, where he was previously shunned for being the son of a criminal, and animals were the only ones that showed kindness to him.[1]

Phantometal
Hokusai’s phantometal accessory is the Tiger-san Glove (虎さんグローブ).[2] It is a black glove with studded buckles, a zipper, and a golden tiger head. The glove on Hokusai’s right hand (depicted below) has a textured, golden bar ring that spans across multiple fingers, while the glove on his left hand does not. He activates it by kissing the tiger head.

Etymology
- The name Hokusai means "north" (北) (hoku) and "religious purification/purification, Buddhist food, room, worship, avoid, alike" (斎) (sai).
- Hokusai's surname Masaki means "conquest" (征) (masa) and "tree, wood" (木) (ki).
Trivia
- According to Hokusai's 2023 birthday merchandise, the white cat he is often depicted with is named Luna (ルナ).[12]
- Luna has been mentioned by name before in Hokusai's 2022 day routine as well as a tweet from February 2021. However, there had previously been confusion in the (English-speaking) fandom over whether the cat's name was Luna or Buchi/Bucchi (ブチ), another cat that has been mentioned in another of Hokusai's tweets.
- Hokusai is the main trackmaker for AKYR - the last character from the 2019/"first generation" teams to be identified as the same.
- He has credited hip-hop for being his "foundation as a musician"[13]. He also joined the other trackmakers in posting about their experience producing their teams' new songs for Paradox Live's third album, ANTHEM[14].
- Hokusai's role in production can be traced to the first time he, Reo, and Satsuki teamed up to perform as MCs, representing the Suiseki group at a summer festival[15].
- Zen's tweet teasing This is How We Roll[16], Hokusai's own tweet teasing License to Kill[17], and AKYR's "Making" illustration[18] commemorating the Blu-ray release of the anime further hint at his role in the team.
