"Onii-San" (Alter Trigger) is a minor character in the Paradox Live series. Ryu Natsume mentions he is unable to recall his name. He is the Alter Trigger researcher whose job is to be a caretaker to Ryu.
History[]
In the past, "Onii-san" (big brother) was an Alter Trigger researcher, and his job was to be a caretaker to Ryu Natsume. It is unknown whether each experiment had a caretaker, and Ryu cannot be used as an example because he was "special".
He is most likely the "Onii-san" that Ryu refers to in the Paradox Live Hidden Track "MEMORY" Novel.
His first appearance in the series is in Ryu's flashback, first described as someone who saved him. Despite the cruel nature of Alter Trigger experiments, he was described as "different from other people in white(referring to the researchers)". According to Ryu, "every time Ryu underwent the experiment, he (the researcher) always wore such a sad expression on his face. Every time Ryuu had a nightmare, he always held his hand until he fell asleep, and he even sang him lullabies. Sometimes, he cried while singing the lullabies. . .‘This is wrong. . .’ was a thing he said a lot of times."
One night, he decided to help Ryu escape. He refers to the one of the other Alter Trigger researchers ("people in white") as "professor"(indicating that that researcher is of higher status and is someone he possibly learns from), then mentioning that he believes the experiments are unforgivable. He tells Ryu to never turn back no matter what happens, because otherwise he will not be able to escape. While Ryu ran, gunshots were heard as he said the last thing Ryu could hear from him, indicating he was shot by the guard.
